Molly Gotheridge, MA, LMHC
Specializations:
Hello! My name is Molly Gotheridge and I’m a licensed mental health counselor. I work with college students, young adults, and adults. I specialize in Anxiety Disorders (ie, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, phobias) and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. I also have a focus on helping manage the various presentations of perfectionism, shame, and difficult life transitions. I have been trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) - both evidence-based treatments.
With each person I meet, my first priority is to build a safe, trusting relationship through meeting you with compassion, humanness, and sometimes humor, too! Take a look around my website to find out more information about what counseling will look like with me. It can be intimidating and daunting to start counseling - it’s a big step just to reach out to someone. It would be great to talk with you more about your story and how we can work together to move towards the life you want to live.
Education & Trainings:
I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and then from the University of South Florida with a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling. I often combine the neurobiological & physiological knowledge I have from my pre-med Bachelor’s degree with the psychological knowledge & skills I have from my Master’s degree and advanced counseling trainings.
I’m licensed in the state of Florida: Licensed Mental Health Counselor - MH23737
I have advanced training in ERP from the Cognitive-Behavioral Institute, and in ACT through Russ Harris’ Psychwire course. I also continue to complete trainings & webinars, attend yearly OCD conferences, and complete ongoing professional consultations.
I’m excited to complete the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute’s (BTTI) program through the International OCD Foundation in August 2026. I’m also excited to be a part of the inaugural cohort of the Ick Scrupulosity Training Institute (Icksti) in Fall 2026 - an interfaith OCD training program specifically for Scrupulosity (ie, morality/faith OCD).
A Little About Me:
I grew up in St. Petersburg and I love to go back from time to time! Although I’m a Florida native, my background and heart are split with the Midwest and England. When I’m not in the counseling room, you’ll find me at the gym, playing with our two precious kitties, knitting some sort of project, or enjoying a trip to Costco.
